Terwase Aondongu Terwase

I am Terwase Aondongu Ephren, a gospel songwriter, choir master, and pianist who learned to hear the world in rhythm long before I learned to speak full sentences. I grew up in Benue state, in the Kwande Local Government Area, in a village known as Shangev ya—the place that first taught me how a chorus can rise from quiet hands and patient listening.

My greatest pride isn’t a trophy or a record deal; it’s the certainty of a happy marriage and the way my kids fill our home with laughter and occasional notes of music. Our house is a living practice room, where hymns drift through the day and every meal ends with a shared melody that somehow keeps us all in tune with one another.

If someone asks who I am at the core, I’d say a writer of worship and a conductor of voices, held together by a God-fearing heart. I aim to craft melodies that cradle worship and to guide choirs with steady hands, so that every session becomes a small sacrament where people lean in and listen.

When I finally leave my footprints, I hope they speak of a life spent turning everyday faith into song and of a presence that kept many voices singing as one. That is how I want to be remembered: not for the size of the stage, but for the honesty of the music and the quiet strength behind it.
