Born into the rich pastoral traditions of the Ciec community in the cattle camps of Yirol East, Matur's early childhood instilled in him a profound respect for cultural identity, discipline, and communal resilience.
Recognized as an academic prodigy from early childhood, Matur consistently topped his classes across multiple regional systems:
2008–2009: Commenced formal education at Arua Primary School (Uganda), ranking #1 in both Primary 1 and Primary 2.
2010–2012: Attended Malek Primary School (South Sudan) for Primary 3 and Primary 4.
2013: Enrolled at Nyang Primary School for Primary 5, finishing at the absolute top of the academic roster.
2016–2018: Completed upper primary education (Classes 6, 7, and 8) at Hope Primary School, graduating in 2018.

MKUSSSA Leadership: He previously served as the Information Secretary for the Mount Kenya University South Sudanese Students Association, acting as the chief communications officer and media voice for the student body.
Grassroots Sports Advocacy: Outside his formal academic requirements, Matur is a highly influential commentator and digital analyst for Lakes State athletics. He uses his voice to champion transparency, penalize administrative mediocrity, and advocate for youth sports development.
