Kungawo Manjo

Kungawo Othandwayo “Prince” Manjo is a young South African musician, music producer and entrepreneur who has become a well-known young personality through his passion, dedication and journey in music.

My love for music started long before I began releasing songs. Growing up in KwaNdonga, Lady Frere, I would spend time with my cousin, Senzo Lungiso Bulana, making our own simple guitar and singing together. Those childhood moments may have seemed small at the time, but they became some of the earliest memories that shaped my love for music.

As I grew older, my interest in music became stronger. I started exploring music production and learning how to create my own music. I taught myself many of the skills I use today and continued experimenting, improving and finding my own sound. What started as a childhood passion gradually became something I wanted to take seriously.

My journey also grew through my school life. I attended Eluxolweni Public Primary School, where I continued developing my interests and personality. I later moved on to Siphamandla Senior Secondary School, where I became increasingly recognised by fellow learners and people around me for my involvement in music and my achievements at a young age.

Music eventually became more than just something I enjoyed privately. I began creating and releasing my own projects, working with other artists and building my name. I also became involved in different musical projects and continued developing myself as a producer and artist.

One of the biggest steps in my journey was establishing Manjo Records Entertainment, giving me a platform to build my own musical identity and work towards bigger goals in the entertainment industry.

Today, I am based in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa, while still carrying the memories and experiences of where my journey began. From making a homemade guitar with my cousin in KwaNdonga to creating and releasing music of my own, my story is one of growth, determination and believing in myself from a young age.
